Free support is available 24/7 from the many list forums run by the Firebird community. You must be subscribed to a list in order to post questions and receive answers.
Paid support is available from several third-party sources. The Firebird Foundation keeps a list of its active members who offer these services.
Firebird developers watch the firebird-job-board list forum for employment and contract opportunities. You can subscribe to this forum and post your requirements there. (Employment agencies cannot post.)
The Firebird Project development team as an entity does not do one-to-one support, paid or unpaid. Please don't ask.

The firebird-general list forum is a community gathering-place for non-technical topics related to Firebird. Usually somebody there will be able to answer you.
If your question is about some administrative aspect concerning the Firebird Project and you are really stumped, or you want to start contributing your skills to Firebird, then try sending an email to <firebird-admins@lists.sourceforge.net> with a useful SUBJECT.
